The National Forum of Music Choir

The National Forum of Music Choir was founded by Andrzej Kosendiak in 2006. From the very beginning Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny has been Artistic Director of the Choir, which over the ten years of its activities has collaborated with such excellent conductors as G. Antonini, I. Fischer, J. Kaspszyk, S. Layton, J. MacMillan, P. McCreesh, and K. Penderecki.

The NFM Choir has been invited many times to international music festivals, such as Ankara Music Festival, BBC Proms. Festival of Arts and Ideas in New Heaven, Gent van Vlaanderen, Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy, Klarafestival, MusMA, Schleswig-Holstein, Serenade! Choral Festival in Washington DC, Warsaw Autumn, World Music Days, and Wratislavia Cantans. The choir enjoys collaborations with, among others, Budapest Festival Orchestra, B’Rock Orchestra, Gabrieli Consort & Players, and Il Giardino Armonico.

The discography of the choir encompasses H. Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s Elijah, Benjamin Britten’s  War Requiem, as well as compilations of choral works by various composers: The Seeds of Stars, Słowa dźwiękiem malowane, Miłość na ludowo, De profundis.
